The ADIP was created in 1997 by instructors from various organizations (IDEA, PADI, NAUI, CMAS, ...).


The purpose of this organization was to strengthen safety standards on scuba diving.


After being contacted by the VVW (Member of CEDIP Dutch), the latter has therefore proposed to become part
francophone Belgium.


In 1998, ADIP has become a member of CEDIP (Comité Européen Des Instructeurs de Plongée professionnels).
